Adrian, MI - Lenawee County families are invited to a joyful evening of singing, dancing, and music play with award-winning musician and author Jim Gill!

Gill’s interactive family concert will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the LISD TECH Center, 1372 N. Main St., Adrian, MI. This free event is open to families with children ages 0-12.

Registration is required. Families can register online by visiting lenaweegreatstart.org or by calling 517-417-8051. Participants will receive a FREE Jim Gill CD — while supplies last!

Gill’s concerts create a “family room” atmosphere where children, parents, and grandparents sing, clap, and play together. His playful songs engage children of all ages and abilities, making it a fun and inclusive experience for everyone.

Professional Development for Educators & Librarians

Before the concert, Jim Gill will lead Music Play is Learning Play — a professional development workshop for early childhood educators, childcare providers, and librarians.

This interactive training will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the LISD TECH Center and will provide practical songs, literacy activities, and strategies for using music to support learning, school readiness, and family engagement.

Both events are free, but registration is required.
