Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan is now acceping donations of all types of gently used and new books for various literacy projects throughout the community. One of these projects is the "Little Free Libraries," one of which is now located in front of the YMCA of Lenawee on West Maumee Street. Other little libraries will be popping up soon. This project is sponsored by Morning Rotary Club of Adrian.

Books for children of all ages are also used for the "Book Basket" project, sponsored by Lenawee Great Start. 14 book baskets located at various public service offices throughout the county are stocked with books so that children and their families can take one home.

Other local literacy projects also benefit from your donations. Right now there is a special need for:

  • Books in Spanish
  • Large print books
  • Cook books

This drive will be on-going. Please drop off your donations at the donation door of Goodwill at 1357 Division St in Adrian. Thank you!
